Friday Frock and Fizz

I recently restored photos of the wedding of my Nanny and Poppy, my mother’s parents, from Italy. Their clean, classic, original and elegant style mesmerizes me at each gaze, looking into familiar eyes. I plan to share the vintage snapshots at a later date, however I bring it all up now because it got me to thinking about (and searching for) a natural Italian frock and fizz. This frock from 100% Capri feels like a Swan Lake fantasy dancing all the way to a Mediterranean villa.

What better way to honor the fanciful frock but to pair it with a classic Italian fizz, the Negroni. Just measure, mix and pour, my friends.

Ingredients:
2 tablespoons gin
2 tablespoons Campari
2 tablespoons sweet vermouth
1 orange twist
Prosecco (optional)
Combine gin, Campari, and sweet vermouth in an ice-filled Old Fashioned glass.
Stir gently and garnish with an orange twist.
Top with Prosecco for a jubilant kick.
